imvu has no morals and loses so many customers daily... they treat their customers like dirt... not a company i would refer my friends to... if you tell anyone of something they did wrong they will silence you by deleting your account... i had a sexual relationship w/ a staff member and since we stopped talking and in their terms of service they can disable you for Any reason, they deleted my account... i spoke up in the forums b/c they refuse to tell me why and give me back mine and my families' accounts, (6 accounts worth over $2,500 USD) they are once again trying to disable my new account... they do not want people to know how they run things... i have reported them to the BBB and several other federal places for fraud... not a place you should put money into... here is a copy paste from a post i made in a group...
"okie yes... i started the "great IMVU ideas" group out as carpathianchic... i changed my name to pantherauncia and then badiataiah... a lot happened and i needed time off so i helped my neice get started on imvu... i gave her this group and even shared the account and helped her learn to dev... then left that account and decided i had enough of a break and i came back... as badiahtaiah...
my neice got disabled... i didnt know why so i used the house email address to write imvu and see why for her... i knew she would have flipped... so i wrote imvu to see why... they said why and told me she was out of luck so it was left at that... but b/c i couldnt help her and i was friends w/ staff, she got mad enough to get me and my family gone so she tried, and it worked... im back now, but am starting from scratch and will no longer give imvu my money...
before you buy any credits or shop their catalog or buy the AP or anything think of me... a member of imvu who busted her ass to help them... and has been around enough to know that imvu cares nothing about their customers so i hate giving them money...
i gave them over $2500 and they disabled me for no reason... b/c some girl was mad she had my account disabled and told them my accounts and my kids accounts and my boyfriends account (6 total accounts) were hers... and she no longer wanted them so gave them away... imvu disabled me for giving away accounts, which i did nothing of the sort... i was even on the account 4 hours before they deleted them... but to get someone disabled, thats all anyone has to do, tell imvu it is your account and you gave it away... imvu will disable the account and take the person off your hands...
when i begged for my accounts back, all they said is it is against TOS to give away accounts and that i am responsible for the email the other girl sent to them concerning my imvu accounts and they are sorry for the inconvienience...
i have lost everything after putting all that money and energy into it to help imvu out and have a hobby to help myself relieve the stress of everyday life and my family members that were dying... so i do not want to give them more money... i had the AP on 2 accounts... and over 200 pages of inventory combined between them... not to mention i was VIP from the start... (i joined the first month it came out)... also allowed my 2 children to join later... so $30 a month and their 100 pages of inventory combined... imvu took it all b/c the girl said they were all her accounts...
i was a tier 3 dev... i had changed my name 3 times... my children even changed their names once... and one of my accounts still had a token... so says a lot about what i put into imvu, not to mention all the time and effort i had at once put into this group before i had gotten discouraged w/ them... w/ that said... thats the main reason i do not have an AP now...
all b/c my old Master was an imvu staff member and it ended sourly... that is what i believe it boils down to, that and the girl that disabled my accounts did not like that i made her actually do work and told me to stop flagging nude avis and clothing that did not meet mcg so they could focus on other parts of the site and client... she wanted to disable my accounts for any reason and she found one... and is sticking to it b/c she hates to admit she was wrong... she will not take responsibility for her own actions of poor judgment of using her opnion of me instead of acting professionally...
i understand taking the one girls account... for us sharing and other reasons... i understand taking responsiblity for an account on imvu if you made it and the account breaks TOS, i do not understand how i could be responsible for an email that someone wrote to them about accounts that do not belong to the one that wrote the email...
my whole family was disabled and they never shared their accounts w/ anyone... just the one account was shared and it was disabled... but yeah... thats what happened to me... those that knew the girl knew when it was me and her, we had even chatted together on our seperate accounts a few times... get mad at someone the same way and you can distroy their whole imvu world the same way mine was taken...
yeah... imvu is horrible... they fired all the people who actually gave a crap... so its going down the toilet now... they treat us like dirt... so many are going to second life and i honestly dont see imvu lasting in the long term,,, yeah... draw in kids who dont pay and harrass the devs for free stuff... for free credits and never put a dime in it... but treat the adults who pay real money... who have jobs and work hard for everything they get... like crap... my income for a family of five is $1000 a month for food and bills and everything... so me sinking $2500 into this site is saying a lot... it took me a while to get that far for them to take it... if i were you all i would not trust them... they can do the same to you w/o any warning just because they dont like you...
yeah and it wasnt my account hacked... was an email... an email linked to another persons account... not even linked to everyone in my household... and now im told we are responsible for emails too... something we have no control over at all...

2/19/2009 9:50 AM PDT yes i have filed a few help tickets and so have my children... they tickets are being tossed out and noone is responding to them... so... ill put the issue i have in here... im not allowed to start a topic or post anywhere else it seams so please move this where it is needed... i wrote a help ticket asking why my 3 accounts were disabled... (BadiaTaiah, NashobaKnight, and WhiteLunaLycan)... did not get any response for 4 days i think it was, so i added a comment to the help ticket (Ticket #5565-7857584)... this is what it read...

2/19/2009 10:02 AM PDT i would just like to point out that i have put a lot of money into my accounts and had no reason to give the accounts away... why would i put more money and time into the account the night before i was disabled? and why would i get rid of an account that i do not even own? i had my son on the VIP program... and had over $2,500 or more invested into all our accoutns b/c it was a hobby to me... the kids got on time to time to shop or submit a sticker or play on their homepages... but that was rare b/c school is in... and my boyfriend hadnt been on in ages... can someone please let me know what is going on and how this is fair? we did nothing wrong... someone wrote from their own email account and said they owned our imvu accounts and pretended to be us and claimed to give the accounts away and it was believed? shouldnt we have to write something like that from our own email address? not theirs? why is this allowed to happen?
regardless... can you please just reinstate the 6 wrongly disabled accounts so we can use them and enjoy the service that we have invested so much into? that is all i am requesting so i can end these emails and help requests...

"to get an account disabled all you have to do is tell imvu that it is your account and you gave it away b/c you dont want it anymore... imvu will disable that account w/o any questions... it is what happened to me... someone said she was me and told imvu that all 6 accounts listed below are hers and she gave them away b/c she no longer wanted them... imvu shut them down w/o any questions... IMVU was fraudulently told by someone who was mad at me, that they owned my 3 accounts and both my sons accounts and my room mates account... then went on to say that they gave the accounts away... without checking w/ me and the owners of the other 3 accounts, imvu wrongly disabled them saying we are not allowed to give away accounts... i did not do this... imvu is wrong for their actions and refuse to fix this... they are a company w/ no morals... instead of fixing what they did wrong, they ignore it... for this reason, i will not put in any money into this account... i am only here b/c a few friends did not want to see me leave... if you have any ideas on how to go about fixing this or what i should do and who to contact other than report them to the FCC or BBB, then please let me know... all i want is my accounts and the others returned since they were taken fraudulently and w/o cause... we did nothing wrong... i was PantheraUncia/BadiaTaiah, NashobaKnight, and WhiteLunaLycan... my kids were Heat and CaptainUnderpants... my room mate was Priapism..."
this is unfair... we did nothing wrong to get our accounts disabled... i have also sent a homepage message to caryjay asking an explanation b/c i do not see how my whole family was affected... this is not fair and i would appreciate an explanation on how this is allowed... i have invested a lot into my accounts and my kids... on my badiataiah homepage was info on how to contact me b/c i was thinking i was going to leave... but i didnt... i had that message on my page for a few days but was still signing in to chat w/ friends... i was even on the night before until the wee hours of the morning just to make sure i had saved all my outfits... when i logged out and went to bed, i didnt think anything of it... a few hours later when i woke up, i tried to log back in only to find i was disabled along w/ all my family members... i even made this account to be able to keep up w/ my friends... i would never give away my accounts b/c imvu has been such an important part of my life for so long... i would like to discuss this w/ someone if possible...

i did not tell staff name hidden that i gave my accounts away... nor did i tell her that my sons accounts and my boyfriends accounts were mine... i would like my accounts back... i did not give them away... my accounts were badiataiah, whitelunalycan and nashobaknight... badiataiah was my main account... i used the nashobaknight for pics b/c it was my male account... and then i had whitelunalycan for submitting stickers only and since i got that account from a friend last year and never hardly use it, i dont care... i think it was staff name hidden who knew this... i had the age changed on it when i obtained it... i told you guys right off the bat that i had gotten it from a friend and needed the age changed... but that is the only account that was swapping hands and that was last year... i have over $120 invested in just music in my badiahtaiah account... i enjoyed listening to it... i would not give my accounts away... i was informed to contact corie about this... but was not told how to... please... i dont even care about the whitelunalycan account... i never used it... but i would like my other 2 restored to me and my household would like their accounts back... i have never owned their accounts... they made their own last year when i showed them what imvu was...
3/2/2009 8:27 AM PDT staff name hidden has been trying to get me disabled for some time and took this as a reason to... i feel i have been picked on b/c she does not like me... this is unprofessional... and no reason my kids and boyfriend should suffer... she needs to let her opinions and judgment of me go and act appropriately... i feel that since she is head of CS then someone else should really look into this matter besides CS... this is a conflict of interest...

3/24/2009 11:48 PM PDT i told her to ask you to disable them b/c i was suffering from my depression... and was going to walk away... i left it at that when you said you couldnt and for me to... i did not want my childrens accounts disabled and did not know that those were included... i know what i read when i signed up 2 years ago and nothing was in it about sharing accounts... whitelunalycan was an account i bought back then and i told you, i even had you guys go in and change the age for me since i took it over... "avi name hidden" and her husband do, heck, even "staff name hidden" gave me his password to an alt account to set up a public room for him and shop using his credits... (account name hidden)... maria asked me to help her, so yes i chatted on the savanahraven account a bit... not knowing that the rules to that had changed... she signed up w/ me sitting here showing her and then i took over a bit w/ her here showing her around... in the end i left it alone entirely... i did not know until you disabled me w/o informing me that it was wrong... my fault for going by old rules and i do not question her account being taken... its not only an inconvienience... those accounts had over $2500 invested in them and i have reciepts to show it... after i was told the accounts had to be disabled by me, i decided i would save all my outfits and take a breather from imvu... after the online fling w/ "staff name hidden" kinda ended sourly, i needed that... i put info on my page on how people could reach me... altho it said i was leaving, as you can see, i did not... i never gave my accounts to anyone, nor did my children and my boyfriend... they were still ours... not even shared... if i had written to you i would have wrote you from my own email... not a house email address that is connected w/ everyone in my house... it came w/ our internet sevice... comcast is our provider... so everyone here is allowed to use that address... i am still here so i did not leave imvu as you can see... please i am begging to return my family's accounts... heat, captainunderpants, and priapism... also my male and female alts... badiataiah and nashobaknight...

4/5/2009 3:27 PM PDT i felt that way... about you trying to disbable me due to past chats w/ staff name hidden... she told me that you were going to disable me for something as simple as hiding top links b/c you were annoyed w/ me then... but she asked you to give me a chance... i fixed that... again i would like to ask... since i still have heard no answer... what did the accounts badiataiah, heat, priapism, captainunderpants, and nashobaknight do to break TOS and how can we be responsible for an email by soemone else just b/c they live in the house? we are responsible for our accounts, yes, i understand that, but an email that everyone uses? again... i am NOT questioning the savanahraven account... but we never shared the other accounts... so why are they disabled?... my kids did nothing wrong... i do not understand this judgement...

i understand this... but i did no such thing on my accounts that you took... i helped maria set up... for her to use, in hopes of gettign her on imvu w/ me... like i have my best friend of 17 years... account name flipgq now... she let me do as i wanted when she wasnt on... people who knew us, knew the difference... even avi name hidden would chat w/ us both at the same time... her on her account and me on mine... it was mainly hers me for hiding every once in a while and to dev... those that knew me, i chatted w/ there when i was deving on that account... sometimes when i was hiding from avi name hidden... he was stalking me... i thought i wanted to leave... but i did not get rid of my 2 accounts... and never would do such to my kids and boyfriend's accounts...

um... no... that email was used by maria for savanahraven... the email for MY account was carpathian.chic@yahoo.com... how is this the same as the savanahraven account since... big thing here... imvu does not allow more than one account registered per email... it was not to my badiahtaiah account... nor to my nashobaknight account... nor to my sons heat and captainunderpants... nor to my boyfriend priapism...
and im not questioning the whitelunalycan b/c i had bought it... and was only using it to submit stickers for my sons that they made... so... i do not care...

the big deal to me was not only the money used in the accounts over the past 2 years, but the fact that my friend had died... her name was debbie avi name avi name hidden... she made a few things specially for me and since she lost her battle w/ cancer, those cannot be replaced... they are hidden from the catalog...
i do understand that i would be responsible for my account had i allowed someone to use it... but i do not understand how i am by some email... and noone being on our accounts...

i would like to know how you can tell me what to do w/ my email account when it has nothing to do w/ imvu... it is not my imvu account, it is another company entirely... i know imvu and comcast are not affiliated... so what does this have to do w/ anything?
so yeah... thats my discussion w/ them... what do you think? i also reported them to the better business bureau... so me speaking out like this and reporting them may have me disabled... if i am, you all know why... i am sure they will want me silenced... they will also be reported to the ftc by the end of this week if there is no response...
oh yeah... you will also note that it is staff name hidden who is always responding and refuse to allow anyone else to check into the issue... and she doesnt like me... so not giving me a fair chance at all...

okay... today i placed this in the forums so people can see what kind of company imvu is... guess what... im banned from the forums indeffinately b/c they do not want the word leaked out... and the reason given was "spamming"... they know that they are in the wrong...
final note... dont let this happen to you... spread the word...
i have had to update... so hope you got to read it all before i did...
read the TOS... they can disable you for ANY reason... says so in the TOS... and their reason is not liking me b/c of a relationships/friendships w/ staff that ended... i have done nothing wrong on this account but i think i was disabled on the 14th... i have not logged off since for fear of not being able to sign back in... scary huh? sad thing is i wont know till i sign out... they dont give warnings or even a letter stating why you are disabled when it happens..."
